Chh chh-chh, uh Chh chh-chh, uh Chh chh-chh, uh Chh chh-chh, uh Chh chh-chh, uh Chh chh-chh, uh Chh chh-chh, uh Chh chh-chh, uh Chh chh-chh, uh Chh chh-chh, uh Chh chh-chh, uh Chh chh-chh Montana says sing it and you'll get it Probably the last chance to use this unless it's Indian! Title & band easy enough, so.... this band shot from relative obscurity to national fame, how ? Also, whilst this song was at number 1 a momentous(ish) event took place that set in motion a chain of events which ultimately leads to these posts. What was the event ? NDC meet Wednesday at: The Mermaid Inn Alexandra Rd, Porth, Newquay, Cornwall, TR7 3NB Map Ref: 183129E 62955N (N50:25:35 W5:03:17)

Well done oldfart Montana reckons you clever people should be able to figure out the link between these posts and June 1970, when Mungo Jerry conquered the charts. Got me stumped ;D he also muttered something about an 'open goal' on some other forum

Very good, Hellbitch actually this song was number 1 when Montana's bus was driven away from the garage by it's first owner. Must have had this tune pumping out of the mono Blaupunkt radio Probably on Radio 1, anyone remember the frequency? Mungo Jerry shot to national fame when their management blagged them onstage at the Hollywood Festival (Newcastle way) where they 'blew everyone offstage', headliner's were The Grateful Dead! They went down so well they were fitted onto the bill for the second day. Wow
