Wooo hooo I got it!! It's Crossroads by Cream and is a fucking belter. Not too sure about the rest of the question, but one piece of trivia I know is that the second guitar solo on Crossroads (arguably one of the best solos ever) is actually a half beat off time ;D ;D Maybe in New Orleans they're singing 'I shot the Sheriff' as they drift around in a Strange Brew of sewage Maybe even 'I can't stand it' ...but surely not Let It Rain!!

Apparently! it's Eric Claptons fault you aren't right Adam, the other piece of trivia is: Clapton mixed up the lyrics of two Robert Johnson songs "Crossroads" and "Travelling Riverside Blues" the latter of which contains the line "You can squeeze my lemon 'til the juice runs down my leg". Led Zeppelin borrowed this for a track on their second album called "The Lemon Song" on the sleeve but "Killing Floor" on the label! crediting their track to Chester 'Howling Wolf' Burnett. So a track from Led Zep's fourth album relevant to the people of New Orleans? it has probably the most sampled drum sound in Hip-Hop
