Thought new (ish) VW's were supposed to be uber reliable...
Having electrical gremlins on our 99 Tdi Sharan. Have ordered a 'dumb' OBD2 lead from Hong Kong and have the Vag Com software on the laptop but I really need to get this sorted.
Started with a faulty brake light switch, now I have no dash bits working...oil light flashes, temp gauge reads middle with warning light on, fuel gauge reads middle with warning light on, no speedo, no tach and no trip computer...rest is working....lol
So, anyone got a OBD2 diagnostic lead etc that I can plug in and see whats happening...cant afford the £60+ vat for VW to have a look.....pint in it for some one? Cheers.

My best suggestion is to phone Bernie Muir at North Cornwall VW Centre, 01208 814747 and ask them about it. They are fully equipped for modern VAG cars at a fraction of VAG prices. Tell 'em Clarkson sent ya.
