The Hippy was moaning cos' no-one replied last week, muttering about "they only know chart stuff" Told my girl I had to forget her Rather buy me a new carburettor So she made tracks sayin' this is the end now Cars don't talk back they're just four wheeled friends now (personally I'd have gone twin carbs ) OK, no takers last week so a bit more mainstream this time The song was a B-side to one of the biggest sellers of all time but who was it dedicated to on the album? In case anyone is interested last weeks was: "Sneakin' Suspicion" by Dr Feelgood composed by Wilko Johnson. Wilko quit the band because the others wanted to record in Stereo The Feelgoods no nonsense approach inspired fellow Canvey Islanders Eddie & The Hot Rods arguably the first "Punk" band! NDC meet Wednesday at: The Mermaid Inn Alexandra Rd, Porth, Newquay, Cornwall, TR7 3NB Map Ref: 183129E 62955N (N50:25:35 W5:03:17)

The song is I'm in Love with my car by Queen (from A Night at the Opera) and it was dedicated to John / Jonathon Harris a boy racer roadie who became toast Nice to see a bit of action back on the forum... sadly I'm working again now so less time for jibber jabber and jive talking
