So I take the car to a garage that for now will remain nameless. looks like I drew the short straw cos I get the trainee...hell, we all got to learn some time. So first the guy puts all these laser things on the front wheels and some meaurement scales on the rear. Points the wheels straight ahead.... removes and replaces steering wheel in correct position, I know it was off by a huge amount so no biggy..Horn dont work now tho.... Anyway, long story short..sets tracking and then camber..Im like wtf r u doing? camber first!!!! So after camber, which I still dont know if its correct because he didnt know if meter read in mm or degrees...he redoes tracking. With both wheels pointing straight ahead and lasers pointing to same numbers on rear wheels ( 6 or 7 IIRC ) he adjusts tracking and gets it 35 min on one side and about 22 min the other, this is about +4mm and -1.5mm. Now my problem is this... This assumes the rear wheels are tracking correctly, is that right? If they are not then the fronts totally fooked? Would it be better just to go back and say just set to +30mins as per book both wheels and have done or is this ok? For ref and pics, see... www.volkszone.co.uk/VZi/showthread.php?t=403235
